Thanks to the blackhole that is the internet, I found a simple, new recipe that I’ll be using for the holidays, and I couldn’t just keep it to myself. Chocolate pomegranate drops: the perfect marriage between sweet and tart. The best part (besides the taste) is that it actually only takes 5 minutes to make.
All you need is:
- 6 oz. of dark or milk chocolate (I cheat and use chocolate chips)
- 1 cup of pomegranate seeds
This recipe will make about 9-12 drops. To start, either melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler as seen in the video below. Mix in your pom seeds until well coated, use a spoon to scoop out tablespoon size pieces, place on a tray lined with wax paper, chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours, and you’re done. Voila! How easy was that? As you bite into these drops of heaven, beware of the pom juice that drips down your chin, and resist the urge to eat all 12 in one sitting.
