In the ceremonious hanging of a new calendar, I am reminded that today is a special milestone.
It’s Sushiyama Travels’ 1 Year Travelversary
I’m out of breath just thinking about it. One year ago, I launched Sushiyama Travels, and I can’t believe how far my baby has come. From recounting adventures dating back to my college years to my first ever RTW trip, SYT has become a smorgasbord of stories and adventures. In the time leading up to this travelversary, I’ve quit my job, circled the globe, flown on 22 airplanes, visited 10 different countries with layovers in 3 others, and made more friends than can be counted on 2 hands for which I’m very grateful to have in my life.
In the spirit of adventure and nostalgia, even though it’s hard to narrow down to a short list, I’m going to share with you my most memorable moments from the past year, and please share yours with me as well.

And to answer the inevitable question of which destination was my favorite:
Everywhere I went was my favorite for different reasons, but I will say the country that had the greatest impact on me was Japan.
